Farm and Harvest Machinery has served coastal San Diego County since 1978, and the pattern across customer accounts is consistent: unglamorous work done on schedule. Owners repeatedly single out the parts desk, which sources same-week components for machines other dealers have written off as unsupported. The recurring complaint is scheduling during harvest, when the two-bay shop runs at capacity and non-urgent jobs slip by a week.

Brought in a 12-year-old baler that two other shops refused to touch. They found a cracked pickup bearing housing, sourced the part in four days and had me running before the second cutting. Invoice came in under the estimate.

Good technical work and fair pricing on a tillage rebuild. Communication was the weak point — I had to call twice for a status update during harvest week.

Second visit did not go as well. Hydraulic leak came back three weeks after the repair and the warranty conversation was slower than it should have been.
